Our Story

Surrey, B.C., is home to RJS Construction. We have been one of the leading full-service construction companies in the Lower Mainland since 2011. Our portfolio includes many commercial renovation and industrial construction projects. We’ve handled everything from institutional seismic upgrades to new additions. Our process keep our clients informed and projects on track. The team’s diverse range of experience and skills makes us strong.

Ryan Steward

- President
Ryan leads the RJS Construction team, keeping everyone inspired to put in their best work every day. With over 20 years of construction experience and a passion for building that stretches back much further, he has managed residential and commercial projects large and small. Starting his company in 2011 with a tool belt and a commitment to quality work, Ryan has diligently built it up into the multi-million-dollar business it is today.

Karyn Taylor

- Office Manager
Karyn keeps our office running like clockwork. In addition to coordinating between our office staff, field teams and customers, she is the administrator of our safety program and standard operating procedures as well as the manager of accounting and human resources. With over 15 years of management experience, Karyn is a driving force behind the efficiency and productivity of the RJS Construction team.

Jayson Chen

- Project Manager
Jayson plans, coordinates and manages projects to ensure we can deliver what we promise. He started his career in the construction industry as a project coordinator in a millwork and renovation company before quickly progressing to project manager. His friendly nature and detail-oriented mind are constantly shining through.

Wade Hadfield

– Project Manager
Wade has over 27 years of experience in the construction industry, including owning his own residential framing and finishing carpentry company for 8 years. Wade is a construction professional to the bone. His positive personality and humble nature makes him easy to work with, while his dedication and experience show through in all his successfully completed projects.

Jordan Honeybourne

– Site Superintendent
Jordan brings a sharp eye for detail to every job site. He has nearly 25 years of experience in the construction industry, having started his career as an electrician before shifting his focus to general contracting. Jordan oversees every project with extensive expertise, great competence and good humour.

Alan ensures that our projects are planned with precision and delivered on time. He has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry and an infectious smile. Both have helped him manage hundreds of projects over the years, from new residential builds to large commercial renovations, and everything in between.

We also employ many trusted and skilled tradespeople and labourers as part of our tight-knit team,
allowing us to deliver quality work in every project we undertake.
